Looks like Project 52 fell by the wayside as did my blogging (per usual). Let’s pretend like that didn’t happen, shall we? I thought I’d share some pictures from my trip home to Canada over Memorial Day weekend. My sister had JUST had her third baby on Monday, May 21th (Victoria Day in Canada!) and we headed up on Wednesday night and stayed through the long weekend. My sister has a beautiful family (naturally!) and I loved spending time with them.
While we spent a lot of time hanging out with family, I did manage to see some friends! On Memorial Day we headed downtown Toronto to catch a Blue Jays game with my homegirl, @Closemaster aka Chip Close aka Christie. Love her face. The game was fun even though there were a bunch of loudmouthed, drunk, very unattractive “ladies” sitting behind us . I nearly caught a foul ball, too! It floated gracefully into the empty seat in front of me (we were in the 200 level). I could have caught it barehanded but was distracted by something and completely missed the entire event until someone ran over for the ball. Richard was in the bathroom when this happened and was disgraced I missed the opportunity.
I hope to get home in September for Ellie’s baptism. My sister picked a great weekend for it – The first weekend of the Toronto International Film Festival! Cannot. Wait.
